"Zest" is a more informal service , family friendly, but definitely suitable for all ages - 0 to 100! In November we will use the Parable of the Good Samaritan to look at the topic of 'Safeguarding'.
In the middle 1/3 of the service there is the opportunity to go into a group of your choosing (all ages) - craft, Lego, mindful colouring, bible or newspaper discussion group - or just spending time quietly on your own with God. Totally unpressurised and an opportunity for interaction with God and with one another. Good refreshments and chat afterwards

On Friday mornings, for just half an hour, we meet to pray God’s blessings on our local community. This starts at 9 a.m. and we are meeting together at St Cuthbert's Church, Great Salkeld in the vestry. (on the Left after you go into the church.) Contact Peter Pickthall for more details.
All over the country similar groups are praying at the same time. This is a positive way of praying for our community.

Rev Becky Richards is joining our Mission Community ministry team and will be living in Langwathby with her husband, Rob. This licensing service is a chance to pray for her future ministry. A special chance for everyone to enjoy singing Christmas Carols together this Christmas season- and in the interesting venue of Lazonby Auction Mart. We will be under shelter in the Auction Ring - but wrap up warm and bring a torch/light to navigate your way there. Cold drinks and seasonal refreshments afterwards.
To help us sing well, there will be some singers from the previous community choir, and live music on the piano accordion will be provided by Catherine Reding.
