Great Salkeld

On Friday mornings, for just half an hour, we meet to pray God’s blessings on our local community. This starts at 9 a.m. and we are meeting together at St Cuthbert's Church, Great Salkeld -outside if possible but otherwise in the vestry. Contact Peter Pickthall for more details.
At present some are also choosing to pray individually in their own homes. All over the country similar groups are praying at the same time. This is a positive way of praying for the community.
A copy of the Friday Blessing Prayers is attached as a PDF file that can be upload - click on 'view attachment' below.

It's good to have the chance to meet together for live worship in a local church building. In Communion we especially remember Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection- to restore us to relationship with God, despite our wrongdoing.
You are encouraged to be Covid-safe: use hand gel. Feel free to sit socially distanced/wear a face mask if you wish.
Refreshments are normally available after the service.
This service will be led by Rev. Katharine Butterfield and our new curate, Lindsay Harrod.

The service is recorded so that you can choose when you want to watch it. You can also see previous services. The new service for a Sunday is available from 9am. onwards.
