You are welcome to join us for our shared time of worship for our local churches and chapels. The usual coronavirus regulations will be in place – please wear facemasks, observe social distancing, and there will be no singing by the congregation indoors, though music will be provided. Often we go outside to sing the last hymn. This service will be led by Rev. Katharine Butterfield and Rev. Roger Campbell. Any queries to Rev. Katharine Butterfield: Telephone: 01768 898176. Fresh Expression of Church
Sunday Worship from your own home - on paper - Sunday 20th. June 2021.
If you can't go to church you can still spend a special time with God each Sunday from our own home and in the knowledge that you will be doing this whilst others in the Parish and wider Mission Community will also be taking part. Click on "View attachment" below.to download a local service developed by our own clergy team in the local East of Eden Mission Community for you to use at home. Any queries to Rev. Katharine Butterfield: email: [email protected] or telephone: 01768 898176
If you can't attend church locally, or see one of our local 'Zoom services', you can still watch an online service streamed from the Church of England. Each week they come from a different part of the country or have a different theme. Draw closer to God in company with people from across the UK. The service is recorded so that you can choose when you want to watch it. You can also see previous services.
On Friday mornings, for just half an hour, we meet to pray God’s blessings on our local community. This starts at 9 a.m. and we are meeting together at St Cuthbert's Church, Great Salkeld -outside if possible but otherwise in church. At present some are also choosing to pray individually in their own homes. All over the country similar groups are praying at the same time. This is a positive way of praying for the community - especially in the current Coronavirus situation. A copy of the Friday Blessing Prayers is attached as a PDF file that can be upload - click on 'view attachment' below. Contact Peter Pickthall for more details: 01768 898396
