On Friday mornings, for just half an hour, we meet to pray God’s blessings on our local community. This starts at 9 a.m. and we are meeting together at St Cuthbert's Church, Great Salkeld in the vestry. (on the Left after you go into the church.) Contact Peter Pickthall for more details.
All over the country similar groups are praying at the same time. This is a positive way of praying for our community.

"Be still and know" is the title of our East of Eden Mission Community Quiet Day, led by Rev. Andrew Burrell. The event will be hosted in the beautiful setting of St. Patrick's Church, Patterdale. From 10am to 3pm. Refreshments from 9:30am. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea/coffee will be provided.

"Harvest Zest" is a time to thank Creator God for His providing for our needs through the world we live on.
This is a more informal service , family friendly, but definitely suitable for all ages - 0 to 100!
In the middle 1/3 of the service there is the opportunity to go into a group of your choosing (all ages) - craft, Lego, mindful colouring, bible or newspaper discussion group - or just spending time quietly on your own with God. Totally unpressurised and an opportunity for interaction with God and with one another. Good refreshments and chat afterwards

After this - at about 12-15pm onwards - we are having a bring and share cold buffet lunch- just turn up - even if you haven't been to the service - and bring something to share on the buffet table. A thanksgiving, reflection and remembering service at St Cuthbert's Church - a quiet and reflective opportunity to remember by name those special people no longer with us, whether by distance or death and to thank God for our memories and the good times we have shared with them. During the service we will be reading out a list of names of those that people would like to remember. If you would like a name to be mentioned at the service, please fill out the form attached and either send/email it too me, or if you wish, leave it in the box at the back of church. If you plan to attend the service you could bring the form with you.
