By Car

Grange is only 20 minutes from the M6 (junction 36) and A65, via the A590. For GPS or SatNav use LA11 6BD postcode.

By Train

Grange is well connected to the main line and a regular train service runs between Barrow and Lancaster, with some direct trains from Manchester Airport.

By Bus

An hourly service (X6) during the day (less at weekends) between Kendal and Barrow passes through Grange.

By Bike

Grange is on the Walney-to-Wear cross-country cycle route, and is accessible from the east on quiet lanes and cycle paths.

The Fell Church is on the left-hand side of Grange Fell Road, the road leading from Grange-over-Sands to Cartmel, over Grange Fell, just beyond the new housing estate of Higher Grange.


Built originally in 1907 as a mission church to provide a simple form of worship for the cottagers living in upper Grange. 

It now serves a regular community offering worship from the Book of Common Prayer.
