The Mission Church is set in the middle of the village of Kirkland, about 1 mile from the B5086 Cockermouth to Egremont road near the village of Rowrah.
The sanctuary can be screened off to provide a small hall for community activities during the week. There are kitchen and (disabled access) toilet facilities plus a side room for meetings and childrens activities.
The monthly pattern of worship is as follows:
1st Sunday: 11.00 am Cafe Church (Ocasionally All Age Worship)
2nd Sunday: 11.00 am Holy Communion (Common Worship)
3rd Sunday: 11.00 am Service of the Word (Methodist)
4th Sunday: 11.00 am Informal Holy Communion
(On the 1st and 3rd Sunday in the month 9 a.m. Holy Communion is at St Mary's Ennerdale; On 2nd and 4th Sundays 9 a.m. Holy Communion is at St Michael's Lamplugh. If there is a 5th Sunday in the month, a Methodist communion service (but using Anglican wine) is held at one of the churches at 11 a.m.)

Lamplugh, Kirkland and Ennerdale local ecumenical partnership has adopted the national Church of England / Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and the Church council receives regular reports on safeguarding from our Parish Safeguarding Adviser.
A hard copy of our Safeguarding Policy is displayed in all three churches. Ennerdale and Lamplugh churches are normally open during reasonable daylight hours.
