York Archaeological Trust have taken our Anglian cross for preservation. It has a less than noble history, having been built into the old porch as a threshold, and then abandoned in the churchyard. It will now be dried out, carefully cleaned and returned to us. We intend to display it securely, probably in the porch, with its history explained.
