The parish of Black Combe Churches was created in 2017 when the old parishes of St Michael's and All Angels Bootle, St John the Baptist Corney, St Mary's Whitbeck and St Mary's Whicham were brought together. The parish is in benefice of the Western Lake District Churches, in the Calder Deanery of the diocese of Carlisle. It is also part of the South Calder Mission Community along with our neighbouring benefice of Seatallan.
