Church of England Diocese of Chester St. James with St. Bede, Birkenhead

St James

Please see our News and Notices page for Worship Resources you can use at home.

St James Church building is open from 10am on Sunday mornings for private prayer, with a short Morning Service starting at 10.30am for about half an hour.  All are welcome: we do not require you to book in advance.  We have space for social distancing and you can come with others from your household.  Face coverings must be worn, and we will need to make a note of your details for the NHS Test and Trace system.  We have a QR code for those using the Test and Trace App.  Online Services are continuing as well, and you'll find a link to this week's Online Service on the St James Online page.  Thank you.

You can find our Safeguarding Statement that outlines our commitment to safe worship for everyone on our News and Notices pages, along with details of the 2020 National Safeguarding Review.  If you or anyone you are in contact with would like to talk with someone independently, please call the Safe Spaces helpline on 0300 303 1056 or email [email protected] You can also contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser in the Diocese of Chester, via email or phone: 07703 800031.

Thank you.
