Each year we gather together for our Wave of Light, Service of Remembrance; a gentle, peaceful space to honour and remember the babies and young children whose lives ended too soon.

The service begins at 7pm and will last around 40 minutes.

There will be music, readings, prayers, and the lighting of candles — each one a small symbol of love that continues to shine.

Everyone is welcome, whether or not you usually come to church.

And if you’d like a name read aloud but can’t be there in person, please let us know on the link below today; we’ll make sure they’re lovingly remembered.

A place to be with God:

Express, grow and explore your faith.  We are a welcoming community of faith that seeks to honour the traditions of the church in a way that revives, refreshes and equips us for our life in the present, and helps guides us for the opportunities & challenges of the future.

During the winter months we will often talk about how we are a ‘warm’ church both in terms of the temperature, but, more importantly, in our welcome as people come explore life at St George’s at their own pace.

We believe that our faith makes a difference to how we live and work. We are committed to serving our parish and beyond during the week. Do come and be part our coffee mornings, Knit & Natter & Soup Lunch – regardless of whether you come to our services or not.

Out of Hours Support

The Diocese of Chester partners with Thirtyone:eight and you can access their Safeguarding Helpline if the Diocesan Safeguarding Team is unavailable. Thirtyone:eight can be contacted on 0303 003 1111.

This also includes any safeguarding queries outside of office hours on weekdays and weekends. An Information Sharing Agreement between the two organisations will allow the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser to receive a copy of the advice thirtyone:eight may offer the caller.
