Eaton with Hulme Walfield Parish Hall

The Hall was the original stable block of Eaton Vicarage. The Vicarage is now long gone but we are left with an excellent facility for the use of the church and community. The drive to the hall is at the side of the churchyard, where you will find excellent parking.

The newly-refurbished Hall is available for bookings.

Usual facilities in the hall:

Main Hall for up to 80 people (70 seated at tables)

Kitchen facility for serving food

Disabled access

Large outdoor area

Suitable for meetings, children’s parties and many other events (but not noisy events such as discos)

Irene Goodwin, the secretary, looks after the bookings. Irene can be contacted by telephone on 01260 224203 or you can e-mail [email protected]

The hirer should inspect the hall prior to use and report any faults to the secretary.

It is against the law to smoke in any part of the hall.

The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused to the hall or its equipment, the drive and the grounds during the period of hire.

Music may be played at private parties but must be kept to a reasonable level and not played outside after dark.

Furniture and other equipment must not be taken outside without the prior approval of hall management.

Sticky tape or blu-tac may not be used on the walls.

The hirer should provide tea towels and dishcloths for their own use.

The hall must be left in a clean and tidy condition, all rubbish removed and all chairs and tables stacked away in the storeroom.

All events must finish by midnight after which a short period of time will be allowed for clearing up to take place.

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the heating, lights and all other services are switched off before leaving the hall and that all the windows and doors are secured.

The hall has a septic tank; the hirer should ensure that any cleaning materials or disinfectants used are suitable.

If the hirer wishes to serve alcoholic drinks, the written permission of the Vicar, or a churchwarden must be sought. In no circumstances may alcoholic drinks be sold.

The keys must be returned immediately after the hire period. In the event of a late booking, arrangements should be made for the return of the keys the following day.

Hirers must be over 18 years of age.

A deposit of £50 must be paid by the hirer which is returned provided the hall is left in a clean and tidy condition and no damage caused.
