Safeguarding

The parish of Swettenham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO.

The Diocese of Chester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information.

The Deputy Diocesan Vulnerability and Safeguarding Officer is Sean Augustin. Within our diocese, Sean is the person to contact if you have any concerns or issues to discuss, or if you wish to come forward with any safeguarding information. This includes concerns that a child or adult has been harmed or is at risk of harm.

If a child or adult is at immediate risk of significant harm, or you require out of hours advice, then you should contact your local social services team or local police (call 101). You should then inform Sean.
