Ascension Day celebrates Jesus's ascension to heaven after he was resurrected on Easter Day. This is the first of three public services that are held in the chapel during the year.

We celebrate Holy Communion, sometimes known as the Eucharist or the Lord's Supper, which is central to our worship in church. In this offering of prayer and praise, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are remembered and celebrated.

This is a service of prayers, thanksgiving and hymn-singing, welcoming all members of the community. Today, the service will be held at St Peter's, Swettenham, and we will be joined by members of the congregation of St Michael's Church, Hulme Walfield.

This is the Sunday nearest to the feast of St Peter when Swettenham Church will celebrate its foundation and dedication to St Peter.
We hope that as many friends of St Peter's, old and new, along with members of the other Rural Daneside Churches and the wider community will join us for this friendly service - a real celebration of village, church and community.
