The day when we celebrate the harvest for 2026 and give thanks for its bounty. We would love to have a church full of people celebrating the harvest, and encourage everyone to bring a harvest basket which can be presented at the beginning of the service during the first hymn.
The service will be followed once again by harvest supper at Marton Meadows Gof Course at approximately 17:30pm.
Places can be booked now priced £22.50 for a main course and pudding. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice. Please confirm with Simon at [email protected] or by messaging 07955919132.

St James & St Paul, Marton

Welcome to the parish church of St James and St Paul in Marton, near Macclesfield, in Cheshire.

We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Chester, serving the small (but perfectly formed) village of Marton, a few miles north of Congleton. Our church building is (we think) the oldest of its kind still in use in Europe, and we are rather fond of it.

It was founded in 1343, and much of what was built then is still here. We hope that both the building and the worshipping community will be here for another few centuries at least.
