There is ramp access to our main door at the tower end of the church.

Our nearest public transport is on Market Street, where you can get buses to Hyde Bus Station (for onward connections), Ashton-Under-Lyne, Stockport, Manchester, Gee Cross and Denton.

We use a projector and screen for our Family Service, however if you require a paper copy, these can be produced on request.

Our Building

The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It was a Commissioners' church, having received a grant towards its construction from the Church Building Commission.

Music and Worship

Bell Ringing

The organ is used to accompany both our Traditional and Family Services.

Our choir helps to lead music in our Family Service.

Our small group of musicians help lead the worship in our Family Service, and are happy to welcome new members.


Groups, Courses and Activities

St George's has a Parent and Toddler group, which runs on Tuesday mornings.


Help for Visitors

After our 10:45 service each Sunday, we offer the opportunity for personal prayer with a member of our prayer ministry team, or you can approach any member of our Ministry Team.


Other Features

We currently display the text of the service and hymns/songs on a projection screen.
