THIS WEEK

Fr Dexter is on retreat this week, but weekday services will continue at the usual times. We are grateful to those who sustain our worship whilst our Rector is away.

ASH WEDNESDAY

This year Ash Wednesday falls on 18 February. Mass with the Imposition of Ashes will be offered at 12.30pm and 6.00pm that day.

Please return your palm crosses from last year soon so that they can be burned to make the ash for that day.

Details of our Lent programme will be available soon.

CHRISM FESTIVAL

Bishop Paul invites us to join him for the Chrism Festival at Lichfield Cathedral on the Monday of Holy Week, 30 March. As well as the Chrism Mass, there will be a session of teaching from the Bishop and the day will end with Benediction.

We hope to have a good number from St John’s present for what promises to be a stimulating and faith-filled day.
