The rosary, in which we ask Mary to assist us with her prayers as we ponder some of the mysteries of the Gospel, is a simple devotion that many find helpful. If you have never used the rosary before you are welcome to join us, and we will guide you through it.

The Quest Community
A community of people using spiritual practices in an ancient and uplifting Christian church for self-exploration, well-being and personal growth.
In the autumn of 2026 St John’s will team up with The International Society for Science and Religion for a series of sessions on Friday evenings, starting on 2 October for at least 4 weeks, possibly 6 weeks.

(you can just listen, or pray, light a candle or be prayed for as you wish)
There is no need to enrol for this part of the evening—please feel free to come and go as suits you.
The church is open for private prayer. Come and pray, light a candle or just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the church.
Our Rector is generally available at this time for anyone who wishes to speak to him, or to make arrangements for Christenings, Weddings or other occasions.
Our cafe is held in the church hall. We can offer warm and cold drinks, some tasty treats, and the chance to catch up with friends and perhaps make some new ones!
October is a month traditionally associated with praying the rosary, in which we ask Mary to assist us with her prayers as we ponder some of the mysteries of the Gospel. We are a support group that meets every second Tuesday of the month in St John's church hall.
A simple, prayerful and reflective service in which healing ministries are usually offered. The service is followed by a simple lunch. All are welcome to join us for this.
