Coronavirus guidance from the Church of England

We are pleased to announce that with effect from 1st December 2021, following the resumption of services for several months (see under Services and events) the church will be open daily for individual prayer by members of the public and the local community.  The Wardens of both churches are working strenuously to create a pattern of worship that will hopefully suit all.

The church will be open from 10 am to 3 pm during the winter months and from 10 am to 4 pm during the summer.

Please read the articles under News and Notices.

Church Lane

As the restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic are being slightly relaxed, the PCC have decided to revert to a regular pattern of services at Stoneleigh Church.

All services will be held at 11 am, and will take the form of a Holy Eucharist inside the church. Seating is available but should the weather prove inclement we will move inside the church with the form of service remaining the same.

On the first Sunday of each month Eucharist will be celebrated as a United Service at either Ashow or Stoneleigh, with the one at Ashow starting at 10 am on Odd months, and the Stoneleigh service at 11 am on Even months.

Please note the following:

1. Social distancing has been relaxed for those who are happy with it. These people can occupy the pews on the North and Central Aisle.
People who wish to continue with social distancing should use the pews on the South aisle.

2. You are asked to continue wearing face masks (if you are able).

3. The congregation may now join in the singing of hymns, songs and responses where indicated in the Order of Service but must continue to wear masks.

4. To avoid any risk of infection, hymn books, service books, and Pew Sheets will be handed out as you enter the church.

5. During Eucharist services the communal chalice will not be used by the congregation but the wine will be taken on their behalf by the Minister. Communion wafers will be distributed as normal and you are requested to use the one-way system to receive these.

6. No longer are you required to enter your name on the Track & Trace register. I

7. We are now permitted to serve refreshments after the service, and you are invited to join us.

Should you have any queries about anything, please speak to one of the wardens.
