Abbey Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Nuneaton

Welcome to the Abbey Church of St Mary the Virgin - A Society Church within the Church of England - Diocese of Coventry, under the Episcopal over site of the See of Oswestry, serving Abbey Green's people in Nuneaton

Here, in this beautiful place, we continue to worship Almighty God on the same holy ground and among the remains of the same buildings where the nuns who gave this town its name first gathered for worship nearly 900 years ago. However, though these walls are steeped in centuries of prayer and tell of great history, it is the life of the Abbey Church today that is its greatest treasure. Here you will find a thriving, loving, and growing community committed to living out and proclaiming the Good News of the Saving Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Abbey takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Coventry to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.
