Our church clock stopped ticking in early January, and our hourly chimes fell silent. The clock has been keeping "Ilmington Time" since 1868 so was in need of some tlc. A damaged bolt and pin needed replacing, and the clock needed to be fully stripped, cleaned, lubricated and rebuilt - jobs far beyond its annual maintenance. We're hugely grateful to our neighbours at Imington Community Shop for so generously funding this project - and restoring the villages's natural rhythm. Thank you!
