Our Vicar, The Venerable Dr Paul Moore, sadly retired on health grounds at the end of October. Details of upcoming services appear below from which you will see that there is some flexibility of offering whilst we are in ‘vacancy’.

St. Helen’s church – services etc. for the rest of July and into August

· 12 July – 9.30am for 10.00am – Sunday Special service with coffee and pastries from 9.30am. All welcome.

· 19 July – 9.30am – Morning Worship

· 26 July – 9.30am – Morning Worship

· 27 July – 9.00am – Benefice wide prayer gathering for the vacancy at SHC

· 2 August – 9.30am – Holy Communion

· 6 August – 2.30pm SHC PCC meeting

· 9 August – 9.30am – Morning worship

It is anticipated that an announcement about the appointment of a new rector for the combined benefice of Grindleford, Hathersage and Bamford will be made around 12 July. It is expected that the new incumbent will take up their responsibilities in the autumn. Watch this space for more details, as and when they become available.
