St. Helen’s Church in a benefice with Hathersage and Bamford, is currently in Vacancy, and we are anticipating the appointment of a new incumbent later this year.
Sunday services usually start at 9.30am, and alternate between Holy Communion and Morning Prayer depending on the availability of a priest.

The village shop is in the church vestry and serves coffee, tea and home-made cakes. When the shop is open, the church is open for quiet, rest, reflection and prayer.
There is a toilet for disabled people available in the church.

In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that all churches are closed until further notice.
