Welcome to St Helen's Grindleford
Our Vicar, The Venerable Dr Paul Moore, sadly retired on health grounds at the end of October. Details of upcoming services appear below from which you will see that there is some flexibility of offering whilst we are in ‘vacancy’.
St Helen’s Church Grindleford - Church Services for January 2026
Here are details of our January services, from which you will see that services will only be held in Grindleford on 4 and 18 January. There will be services of combined worship in Hathersage on 11 and 25 January to which all are welcome. Whilst we remain ‘in vacancy’ without an appointed vicar, there will be some variations from the normal services pattern.
Details follow:
• 4th January 9.30 am Holy Communion at SHC led by Graham Pigott.
• 11th January 9.30am Worship Together - Hathersage - with Bishop Malcolm (No service at SHC).
• 18th January 9.30am Holy Communion at SHC led by Archdeacon Nicky Fenton.
• 25th January No service at SHC. All welcome at Hathersage (Holy Communion) at 9.30am.
Please also note that on Monday 5 January at 9.30am there will be a cross-Benefice prayer gathering for the vacancy to be held at Bamford church for about 30 minutes.All are very welcome…
