Glossopdale Foodbank

Liz Kearslake, Glossopdale Foodbank Manager writes:

"To the Congregation of Hadfield St Andrew's Church,

I am writing on behalf of Glossopdale Foodbank to thank you for your generous Harvest Festival food donations, and the donation of £20 from your collection.

We are so grateful to receive harvest donations as they help us to prepare for our busiest time of year. Every year, we see an increased demand for our service as the weather gets colder, and people face higher household expenses. In October alone, we provided over1375 meals to people in financial hardship in Glossop and the surrounding areas.

At Glossopdale Foodbank we rely on the donations from our local community, which allow us to make up parcels for families and individuals who are struggling with food poverty. Everyone that receives help from our Foodbank collects parcels made up with a variety of food items that are designed to feed their household for at least three days. We also work with people who are homeless or in temporary accommodation, ensuring that they have access to food support.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone in your congregation who contributed to your Harvest Collections and to those that organised and facilitated the collection."
