Supported Charities

We support a number of charities (Mission Partners) through prayer and donations.

Embassy is a Greater Manchester-based charity that helps people to break the cycle of homelessness by providing a home, skills training and wraparound support. Their latest project is Embassy Village, a new community of 40 high quality homes in Manchester. Due to be completed in 2024, the village will include a village hall, education, training, mentoring and sports facilities. (Parish Champions: Peter and Sue Leighton).

Glossopdale Foodbank is a local charity providing emergency food for individuals and families in financial crisis. Donations of food can be left at St Andrew's Church, as well as many other local collection points such as Hadfield Library and Tesco Glossop. (Parish Champion: Vince Ryder).

Kimbilio project is run by the UK based charity Congo Children Trust. It aims to support the needs of children living on the streets in D.R. Congo by providing a day centre, homes, primary school, young mum's training school and sewing schools. (Parish Champion: Lesley Mundy).

Open Doors is a charity which helps persecuted Christians in more than 70 countries to follow Jesus. It supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term. (Parish Champion: Simon Hurrell).
