A service of Holy Communion celebrating both the First Sunday of Advent and the patron saint of our church, St Andrew. Followed by refreshments.

Prayer for the lighting of the first Advent Candle:

Lord Jesus, light of the world,
born in David's city of Bethlehem,
born like him to be a king;
be born in our hearts at Christmas,
be king of our lives today. Amen.

Although we don't have a creche, we do have books, toys and activity sheets for families with young children.

St Andrew's Church, Hadfield

We are an active and vibrant community of worshippers who meet together to worship, pray, sing and be together throughout all the joys and challenges of our daily lives.

We describe ourselves as ‘an Evangelical family church’, which means that we value the Bible as the means through which God speaks to us today, and that we are a congregation where people of all ages can feel at home.
