The Maltings main hall can be hired for one-off or regular events with a capacity for 120 people seated at tables or
200 people for active use (i.e. not seated). There are 11 rectangular and 8 round tables plus 120 new chairs available on the premises and block staging courtesy of Wirksworth Community Choir, along with use of our new kitchen.
Recent renovations have given us a repaired floor, a new unisex toilet block and a catering sized well equipped kitchen.

Previously known as the Parish Room, The Maltings has been central to the lives of the people of Wirksworth for two hundred years, from its days as a malting house, to tea dances, billiard games, youth groups, army billet, vintners, Janet Regar underwear factory and gallery it has provided work, seen friendships and romances grow and seen people learn.
