Consett in Focus over the last few months have been very, very busy in the village taking photos of well known people, businesses and finding out all kinds of interesting information about our villagers, all in readiness for their exhibition. During the exhibition, St Ives will be carrying out a 'community conversation' (consultation in the form of a questionnaire) with our visitors to find out what they think about St Ives and ask their thoughts on our church moving forward. This will be a vital part of our evidence base for our medium term plan (community engagement/involvement) HLF bid. So it is very important that we get as many people through the doors as possible over these two weekends. The questionnaire will also go online for anyone unable to attend in person or who has moved away from Leadgate but still has an interest in St Ives and saving our heritage building. There will be a volunteer rota sheet at the back of St Ives church as we are looking for helpers to conduct the community conversations and talk to visitors about our ideas for St Ives as well as serve tea, coffee and wash up!
