Welcome to our church near you site. We are the Church of England Parish church for Shildon, County Durham. Below will give you a flavour of our church to find out more please go to our website.

Our Sunday morning worship is a service of Holy Communion at 10am

On the third Sunday of the month we have a family service where everyone stays together in this service. 

At all other Sundays from September 2021 we have a Sunday School/ Explorers' group for 5 - 11's which have their own activities for part of the service. There is also an unsupervised creche area.

We continue to do Evening Prayer on Zoom each week at 6pm. This can also be accessed on a normal telephone line. You will need to email Revd Carol for a Zoom invitation [email protected]

On Thursdays we have a Holy Commuion service at 11am followed by refreshments.

The Parochial Church Council of St John’s, Shildon is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for everyone, especially for children, young people and vulnerable adults. Central Parade

Messy Church is fun, crafts, Bible stories, songs and food for the family to enjoy all together. It is on once a month on the second Saturday of the month between 2pm and 4pm in the church building. It is free and it is for all the family to enjoy together with parents/carers staying with their children throughout the session.
