Christmas Services at St Michael’s Church

7th December – 4.00 pm Christingle Service
A joyful family-friendly start to the Christmas season.

14th December – 6.00 pm 9 Lessons and Carols
Including traditional carols sung by an enhanced choir, and lessons read by representatives of the community. Afterwards all are warmly invited to stay for mulled wine and mince pies.

21st December – 6.00 pm Christmas Evening @ St Michael’s
A festive community event featuring live music and singing.
Seasonal refreshments served from 5.15 pm.

22nd December – 7.00 pm Blue Christmas Service
A gentle, reflective service for those who find Christmas a difficult time.

Christmas Eve – 3.00 pm Carols Round the Tree
Don your Christmas jumpers and join in the fun for this much-loved family favourite!

Christmas Eve Communion by Candlelight – 8.30 pm
A warm and uplifting candlelit service, led by Revd David Payne, welcoming Christmas in a spirit of peace and joy.
Please note the earlier start time.

Christmas Day Morning Worship with Holy Communion – 9.30 am
Join us in celebration with worship, carols and a true spirit of Christmas.
The service will end in candlelight, as we form a circle around the nave, each holding a candle of hope.

Blue Christmas Service - for people who find Christmas difficult

A gentle, comforting service especially for people who due to past events find Christmas really difficult. It may be a bereavement, illness or some other significant life event. It is a time to be quiet and reflective.
Everyone is very welcome.

Carols Around the Tree

The Countdown to Christmas Begins!
Don your Christmas jumpers and join us on Christmas Eve at 3pm for our popular community gathering.
We’ll sing favourite Christmas carols together and fill the church with festive joy and laughter. Children are especially welcome to join in the singing and share in the magic of the season.
Come along and be part of this heartwarming Christmas Eve tradition — a joyful moment for families, friends, and kids of all ages!
