On Sunday the 12th, the main Gateshead Remembrance Sunday parade and service takes place in the Durham Road opposite the church. As a result, we are starting our own gathering at the later time of 11.30. Please note that the roads in the immediate vicinity will be closed for part of the morning.
This month of August is Sabbath Month for Alive Church, and we're going to be doing things a little differently. It's a month where we intentionally strip back what we are doing. We sense an invitation from God to abide with Him and to abide with one another. Psalm 127 says "Unless the Lord builds the house, it's builders labour in vain". We have seen God do amazing things but this is our chance to accept the invitation to a season of Sabbath. There will only be one gathering on a Sunday, at 1030, starting on July 30. Kids and youth church will restart in September. So the pattern of activities in August will be: Wednesdays: 10am Park meet-up- Meeting at Prism Coffee, at the top of Saltwell Park. Join us for a time together in Saltwell Park, all are welcome. Wednesdays: 1-2.30pm Youth hangout in Hope House- gather with us to hang out, eat great food and more- further details to follow Sundays: 10:30 All-age Gathering followed by Sunday Socials- a great time to get to know people across the church. Join us for Park week, Beach, BBQs and more.
Join us for our Christmas gatherings and Carols at Alive Church, St George's. Our Christmas gatherings are a joy-filled celebration with festive music, a retelling of the Christmas story, and Christmas snacks for everyone.
