About Us

St. Cuthbert’s Church is situated in the heart of Blaydon; we are a friendly and welcoming group of people seeking to make the love of God known to all through our worship, fellowship and activities.

Join us for worship every Sunday at 10.15am.  We are continuing to respond to the changing pandemic situation so that we all feel safe whilst gradually reopening some activities.

We are also communicating through our website https://blaydonstcuthbert.com.  There you will find resources to help us to be church as we cannot as yet all meet together. We continue to pray for the people in this area, please let us know if you want prayers said for someone, or for a situation or if you need help or would like a chat.

As a Church we love and care for one another and we want to continue to do that as well as we can throughout this difficult time. We are involved in supporting people in the community and work together with Blaydon Churches together (St. Anne’s RC Winlaton/St. Joseph’s RC Blaydon; Lucy Street Methodist Church and the Salvation Army).

This is a worrying time for all of us but we believe in a God who is bigger than all of it and we can and do draw on Jesus teaching to help us through these difficult times.

Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Matthew 22:36-39
