Burnmoor; St Barnabas

Welcome to St Barnabas' Church.

Our Eucharist service starts at 11am, followed by refreshments in the St Barnabas' Community Centre.

We are moving back into the Church building for some services. We still have heating problems in the Church, so dress warmly. Otherwise find us in St Barnabas' Community Centre.

Every 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday is in St Barnabas' Church. 5th and joint Sunday services are held at 10am, in one of the four Churches in our Parish on a rotation.

Until further notice most services at St Barnabas Church will be held in the
St Barnabas' Community Centre due to problems with the heating system.

At a celebration of the Eucharist, the community gathers, asks God’s forgiveness for its sins, listens to readings from the Bible including a reading from one of the Gospels. A sermon is preached and the community prays together. Bread and wine are brought to the the altar, the priest prays the Eucharistic Prayer, and everyone says the Lord’s Prayer together. The community then receives the consecrated bread and wine. At the end of the service, the community is sent out into the world as a ‘living sacrifice’ to live and work to God’s praise and glory.

Spring has sprung!
We are back in the Church building in May.
