As Spring has sprung, we will be heading back into the Church building in May. After months of keeping warm in the St Barnabas' Community Centre. We are fundraising for a new heating system. In the meantime we have electric heaters, blankets and we can dress warmly. If you would like to support our Church, please sign up for a shopping site that donates to our cause if you shop through it first. It is called Easyfundraising. Here is the link to our page: St Barnabas Church - Bournmoor Fundraising | Easyfundraising
Until further notice all services at St Barnabas Church will be held in the Parish Hall due to problems with the heating system.
We opened the Church building for quiet contemplation, historic research or just for a look around the inside the Church building. The building remained open for 2 hours every week, while different volunteers offered to sit and welcome visitors. It was a great success. We had people who had travelled and were looking up their family. People who were Christened in the Church. People who had come to see our impressive Angel sculpture and stained glass windows. Others who just came to sit in the space with their own thoughts or prayers. Our thanks to all of those volunteers who sat and assisted visitors. If you missed this opportunity, we will be opening the building again in the Spring. We look forward to seeing you then.
On Sunday 17th September at 11am, we will have a Family service celebrating Harvest.Everyone welcome at St Barnabas' Church, Burnmoor.
