Opening
Sundays 11am. This is a Eucharistic (Communion) service held in a socially-distanced manner! You are also very welcome to attend without taking Communion. Other services are listed under the 'Services and Events' section.
Getting here
Simply drive into West Rainton. The Church is totally visible in a large churchyard. If visiting the Church or Churchyard it is best to park along the 'top road (the old Durham Road)' and walk through the churchyard because the church was built long before there were so many cars! If you have items to drop off then park on the other side on the main street (South Street/ North Street) being careful to leave room for buses etc. along the main street. There is a horrible bend in the road- please avoid this (buses and traffic cannot see round it!) and have consideration for our neighbours.
If you have a wheelchair it is normally easier to park on the top road because the path through the churchyard is easy going. The other side of church has a section of gravel.
The number 20 bus links us with Durham, Houghton le spring and Sunderland.
