The 2025 Village Carol Service will be held on Monday 15th December at 6.30pm. We encourage you to come early as this is our most popular service of the year!

This year the Village School (https://westraintonprimary.durham.sch.uk/) will be featured again and, with luck, we will again be treated to a performance on the hand-bells.

We will also be joined by West Rainton Youth Group, part of Durham Area Youth.

The carol service itself follows the traditional path of the nativity with well-know carols, and is followed by mulled wine and mince pies. We will also be accepting donations of food for Durham Foodbank. The collection at this service is also for Durham Foodbank.

We look forward to seeing both village residents and visitors to this great celebration of the birth of our Lord!

We will be having a special communion service on Christmas Day at 10am. This small and reverent service is greatly valued by all Christians and those who would like to acknowledge the importance of the Christmas message in their lives.
