A Community Garden in the historic grounds of St. Peter's - combining quiet beauty & prayer with quality fruit & veg - is run by volunteers. Bede's Bakehouse is our small cafe which provides a variety of food and refreshments - hot and cold. We are open Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 10.30am - 2.30 pm. A time of still and contemplative prayer based on the Northumbria Community's Celtic Daily Prayer. It will draw inspiration from the early Christian heritage of the North East as well as contemporary sources. The prayer time will be about 30 minutes and afterwards there will the opportunity to explore themes from the prayer whilst enjoying some light tasty refreshments and a cuppa.
