St Paul's Church and Community Centre

It is our desire, our hope, our prayer, our aspiration, that any and all who find themselves within the orbit of St. Paul’s might make deep and abiding connections through our services, our community involvement and our pastoral care – connections within ourselves, with other people, with the planet we share and with the God in whom all things hold together. Our aim is to support one another to live faithfully as we seek to respond to the love of God.

As part of the Church of England in the diocese of Ely, we affirm the 5 marks of mission of the Anglican communion (www.anglicancommunion.org), to tell, teach, tend, transform and treasure by committing ourselves:

To be ready to share our stories of faith with others.

To be a loving community.

To express love and compassion for our neighbours.

To work together with others for just institutions both locally and across the globe.

To care for creation.

Our building is a thriving community overseen by a dedicated staff. Our inviting foyer and garden, a green refuge on a busy road into the centre of Cambridge, is open to all. The building is used by many different organisations, local, national and international, for celebrations, classes, meeting, conferences and social and cultural events and of course church gatherings.

We are members of Inclusive Church and we are a Silver Eco Award winner.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Cambridge: St Paul is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO - https://www.elydiocese.org/safeguarding.php

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO at [email protected] or ring the Parish Office (01223 576899) and ask for the Safeguarding Officer. The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor line can be contacted on 01353 652747. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
