Address
Upton Street Barton and Tredworth Gloucester, GL1 4JZ, United Kingdom

This Sunday, August 23rd is the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition (also known as Slavery Remembrance Day), designated by UNESCO to honor the victims and fighters of the transatlantic slave trade. We have Lois Bosatta, Director of the Clewer Initiative, coming to preach. and share with us the reality of modern day slavery in the UK; the trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable men, women, and children. It is an issue that is estimated to affect well over 100,000 people in the UK alone. We will come together on Sunday to learn more, to praise our God who brings release to the captives, to lament for the sins of the past, and to be emboldened by the Holy Spirit to play our role in creating a better future for all within our communities.

Refreshments are available before the service from 10.30am and also after the service. https://www.facebook.com/theclewerinitiative
