On Good Friday the church is open between 10am and 2pm for visitors to explore 14 "Stations of the Cross" that tell the story of Jesus on Good Friday. At each "Station" there is a work of art and some words to encourage reflection, prayer, and meditation. Your visit may take 5 minutes or 4 hours...it is up to you.

Join us for a solemn and reflective Good Friday Prayers of the Cross Service at St James and Christ Church. This service commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ, offering a time for deep prayer and contemplation. We will meditate on Christ's sacrifice, and come together in reverence and faith.

Come and find 12 clues hidden around the church, work out the special Easter word, and get a mini Easter egg! Saturday 4th April - 9am - 12 noon. There is also table tennis, drawing, tea and coffee, play area, and sofas.

Celebrate the joy of Easter with us at St James. Join us for a special Easter Sunday Service of Holy Communion as we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The service will include uplifting hymns, heartfelt prayers, and the sharing of Holy Communion. All are welcome to come and share in this joyous occasion.

Godly Play at St. James is a creative approach to Christian spiritual formation that uses storytelling, simple objects, and "wondering" to help children explore faith, scripture, and tradition in an imaginative and personal way, honouring their innate spirituality rather than just teaching facts. It's about creating a safe space for discovery, allowing each primary school age child to engage with sacred stories and liturgical actions, and fostering lifelong spiritual learning through play and personal response.

Come join us for the Wednesday Welcome at St James and Christ Church! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share a cup of tea or coffee, and enjoy some friendly conversation. We have a variety of activities to make your visit enjoyable, including knitting, arts and crafts with local Professional Artist, Rose Fellers, and plenty of toys for the little ones.
