A special event commemorating those who flew from RAF Down Ampney on 5th June 1944 - the eve of D-Day - to take part in the Normandy Landings.

With the VOCAL singers - singing war time songs; Cirencester Town Band; the An Act of Remembrance; the ceremony of Sunset. There will be a static display of RAF Down Ampney Memorabilia; some vintage military vehicles on display; community singing; and refreshments.

A special service to commemorate those who served at RAF Down Ampney and those who flew from Down Ampney as part of Operation Market Garden and the Battle of Arnhem. Our preacher will be the Chaplain in Chief of the Royal Air Force and other dignitaries will be in attendance.
