St Peter

Introduction: St Peter’s is an historic building at the heart of a small rural community. All receive a warm welcome at our friendly Sunday services. Normally, the church is opened every day at around 9 am and locked at dusk.

Explore Churches: We also have a page on Explore Churches - the perfect place to discover a love for churches and to find out all the information you need to visit them.

Safeguarding: "The parish of Dumbleton: St Peter is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

You are most welcome to join us for a festive candlelight celebration of the Christmas story, told through carols, readings and poetry. After the service there will be seasonal refreshments including mulled wine and mince pies. Younger guests will be made most welcome and the children’s area will have lots of Christmas activities for them to enjoy.

There are boxes in church ready for the collection of items for the food bank. At this time of year villagers are very generous with their gifts and the food bank is very grateful for any contributions.
