Our first Cafe Church was an extremely enjoyable event. 50 people gathered in St Peter's for an informal service on National Friendship Day. Cafe seating allowed people to sit together at tables and take part in some of the activities including making friendship bracelets, answering ice breakers and finding the link between certain famous faces. Everyone enjoyed the coffee and croissants before the choir led the singing of two well known Beatles songs and two hymns. There was some quiet reflection time when everyone was given the opportunity to write a prayer for a friend which were then displayed on the prayer tree. We are very grateful to all the those people who kindly gave us very favourable comments to say how much they had enjoyed the service. We are now busy planning our next cafe church in St Margaret's, Alderton on 29th September.
