St Martin’s Barholm-with-Stowe, Village Harvest Festival on Sunday 4th October

• 5pm ‘Service of Harvest Celebration’ with Traditional Harvest Hymns accompanied by Julia on the organ
• 5.30pm Join us for a glass of wine and harvest nibbles accompanied by Felix on his guitar
• 5.45pm onwards an Auction in the church of the donated items

We are hosting our annual Village Harvest Festival and Auction on Sunday 4th October this year
David Brown will be auctioning off a range of homemade and home grown produce, artefacts, tools, promises and a few surprises!!!

Please bring as much produce as you can from your garden or food store, or any other items that will sell at the auction, to the church porch on the morning of Saturday 3rd October or contact David directly on Tel. 07778 674272 - Proceeds split between the church and towards a local chosen charity

It promises to be a great night as always - hope to see you there!

Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking an interest in the Church of St Martin of Tours, Barholm-with-Stowe.

Our next service in St Martin's Church, Barholm with Stowe will be on Sunday 4th October, 2026 at 5pm.

This will be our Village Harvest Festival & Auction on Sunday 4th October, please note the start time of this service is at the slightly earlier time of 5pm.

Julia will accompany our congregational singing to three well known and traditional harvest hymns;

  • Come, ye thankful people, come, raise the song of harvest-home!

  • To thee, O Lord, our hearts we raise in hymns of adoration,

  • We plough the fields and scatter

After the service, we will have a guest appearance by Felix who will entertain us with his guitar playing as we enjoy a glass of wine and harvest nibbles. 

The Auction is organised by David Brown and should you wish to donate any items for auction please contact David on his mobile telephone number 07778 674272 - All donated items will be gratefully received! 

If you feel able to help with refreshments and / or drinks on the night of the Harvest Festival Service on the 4th October, please contact me - Carole 07484 201413 - All help would be gratefully appreciated!
