A welcoming and inclusive church that lifts Jesus up by celebrating God's love in the community.

The Church of the Ascension is a medium sized, 1960's built, octagonal church seating up to around 85 people comfortably. It is attached to a substantial and well-appointed church hall, which sits to the rear of the large sanctuary area. Communion services are held twice a month, Common Worship being the usual format. A more informal Service of the Word and an All Age Family Service are held on the first and third Sundays of each month and in a five-week month an extra Holy Communion service takes place.

Morning Prayer takes place every morning from Monday to Thursday at 9.00am in the church. Refreshments are served after Morning Prayer on Wednesdays. 

The hall has a stage and a well appointed kitchen facility. There are also a number of smaller rooms to the rear of the church sanctuary that are used variously for groups or are available to let. For hall hire please contact our Hall Bookings Manager Sally at [email protected]

The church has a small enclosed car park at the rear and some lawns with trees and shrubs as frontage.
