Life Events - Weddings
Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage! We are always delighted when a couple wish to celebrate their loving relationship by making a special commitment to each other in one of our churches. We will gladly do what we can to help make this a very special occasion.
You can get married at All Saints if one of you lives in the parish of Gainsborough and Morton or if you can demonstrate one of the following connections with either of the churches.
That one of you:-
• has at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months
• was baptised in the parish concerned
• was prepared for confirmation in the parish
• has at any time regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months
That one of your parents, at any time after you were born:-
• has lived in the parish for a period of at least 6 months
• has regularly gone to normal church services in the parish church for a period of at least 6 months
That one of your parents or grandparents:-
• was married in the parish
If you would like to arrange a wedding service, please visit our parish office so that our administrator can check the availability of the church and a booking form can be completed. To avoid disappointment, we advise doing this before making any firm commitment on other aspects of your wedding day such as the reception venue. DURING THE PANDEMIC THE PARIS OFFICE IS CLOSED - PLEASE CONTACT THE ADMINISTRATOR ON 07395942778 OR EMAIL [email protected]
Please note: in order to book a wedding we will need to see proof of identity (eg. passport or driving licence) and proof of address (eg. recent bank statement) for each partner. A deposit of £100 is also required. This is taken from the total cost of the wedding.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the choices you make about your wedding service. Please talk to the Parish Administrator.
One of us has been married before. Is that a problem? Not necessarily. You will need to talk to the Parish Priest about this before making a booking.
If one or both of you are foreign nationals, including EU passport holders, you will need a special licence to get married. We will be pleased to advise you on how to obtain one.
If you are to be married in another Church of England parish you may need to have your banns read at one of our churches. Please contact our parish administrator to arrange this.

A service of Thanksgiving for Marriage
For couples who have been married for a while we are very happy to offer a service of thanksgiving for marriage and a reaffirmation of the vows that were originally made. For more information about this, please contact our Parish Administrator in the first instance.
