St George's ancient church and churchyard are a little oasis very near the edge of Grimsby yet tucked away on the single road which is one of the routes by which people walk or ride through to Bradley Woods.
We are sorry that the church is usually locked, but it is open around the normal service time at 6 o'clock each Sunday and for an annual open weekend (often at Harvest). Those who get in are often surprised by the panelling and the box pews with candles in the large poppy heads.
Members seek to be good neighbours in the village and beyond.
We worship round the old cross in the churchyard at 5 o'clock each Good Friday and have sung Communion at 9.30 a.m. on Easter Day and 10.00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
