Mossley Hill Parish Church
We are a hilltop Church and have great views. We are part of the Mossley Hill Team Ministry which includes All Hallows, Allerton and St Barnabas, Mossley Hill in addition to this Church.
From the top of the tower you can survey North Wales, the Pennines and the sweep of the Mersey estuary. You can also get views of us from miles away, especially at night in December and January because our tower lights up like lantern.
The view we really enjoy is the future. We are working on the Vision for our Church plan to take us on into the 21st century as a Growing Church. In our congregation - the main gathering is about 150.
We have many lively and gifted people of all ages, wanting to be a Christian community which is open and relevant to our times.
"The parish of Mossley Hill: St Matthew & St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
