Hunts Cross: St Hilda
"The parish of Hunts Cross: St Hilda is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
St Nicholas' Halewood
Both of our churches are now open for Sunday and mid week worship. Services will be as follows:
St Mary’s 9.30am on Sunday mornings
St Nicholas' 6.30pm on Sunday evenings
St Nicholas’ 9.15 am on Thursday mornings
For more details see the services page. We shall be following the Church of England and Methodist churches' guidelines on social distancing during services and so numbers able to attend will unfortunately be limited and a booking system will be in operation. You will also have to wear a face covering. For details of how to attend these services please ring the Halewood Parish Office (0151 487 9965) and leave a message and someone will get back to you. We shall be continuing with our Zoom services as advertised:
11 am on Sundays (Morning Worship) - note the change of service time
8.00 pm on Wednesdays (Night Prayer)
For details of how to get a link for these services please also ring the Halewood Parish Office. We are also continuing with wedding and funeral services but again there are strict limits on numbers able to attend. Vestry time is currently suspended, but if you have any queries about baptism or wedding services, please ring or email the Parish Office for further information. Further updates will be posted here as things move forward.
Please note, most of our church children’s and adults groups are currently closed or meeting remotely; for more information contact the named person for that group or activity.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
