We were open for 6 days over two weekends in September 11th to 13th and 18th to 20th and there were so many visitors (approx. 368) who took the opportunity to have a look around our amazing grade 1 listed church - “The Cathedral of the Fields”. 

There were lots of items to purchase from our church shop, an opportunity to have a “cuppa” and find out some more information about family trees or the history of the church from our volunteers. Thank you to the Sefton Community tutors who offered a session on Tudor Blackwork Embroidery on the Saturday.

On the first Friday morning we warmly welcomed Year 6 children of St Oswald's Primary School who spent the morning with us doing crafts and following our Heritage Trail. They were very well behaved and we look forward to seeing another group next year. 

On Saturday 19th, our Sefton Bell Ringers kindly offered their time to allow people to try bell ringing  between 12pm and 3pm. 

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE UPKEEP OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CHURCH AND ALSO TO THE SMALL BUT WONDERFUL TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS WHO GAVE THEIR TIME.
