A 4 week course encouraging us to think more deeply during the Advent season about the coming of Jesus, and what the Christmas story can teach us about our faith today.

Christingle Service

This is a celebratory family event that takes place in thousands of churches and schools across the country, raising funds that help the Children's Society to continue their work supporting young people. Christingle celebrations are named after the "Christingles" (oranges with a candle) that are lit and given out to everyone present during the service. The orange is a symbolic object as Christingle means 'Christ Light' and is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the "Light of the World". There will be some Nativity costumes available for any children who wish to help out in the service.

We meet every Monday except for Bank Holidays and the Christmas and New Year period to tidy up the church and graveyard and do other simple tasks.
If you feel able to help our group of volunteers, we would be very grateful. After our hard work we always enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits together.

Bishop John will lead our Service of Holy Communion on Sunday 17th December at 11am

Please encourage your friends and family to join us for this very special occasion. We will have refreshments after the service with the Bishop.
